When it comes to operators in the sports betting industry, few are more trustworthy than Soft2Bet Group. They’re known for their all-around approach, applying modern methods to staples, both in terms of front-end and back-end development.

While other Soft2Bet brands are highly regarded amongst the sports betting brass, Rabona just might be their most interesting project to date. And by interesting, we don’t just mean in a positive sense.

Unfortunately, this bookmaker has several flaws that keep it from ascending the ranks and becoming a true first-choice for more professionally-oriented players. The potential, however, is indubitably there.

Aesthetically, Rabona is amongst the top bookies that we’ve tested. Not only is their UI attractive, but it’s also fairly innovative. While reviewing different betting sites, we often see operators investing next to no effort into differentiating their brands from one another. With Rabona, there are no ‘recycled’ features or design elements.

Everything seems to fit in quite nicely, mainly due to the clever combination of burgundy, grey, and navy blue. It’s not a color combination that you see every day, but its ornamental value cannot be disputed. We also loved the moderate use of yellow accents for ‘important’ sections and functions, such as Promotions and logging in.

Problems, however, start when you actually try to use the site. Rabona doesn’t suffer from slow loading times, but there are some incredibly annoying bugs that we encountered. Placing a live bet can sometimes take up to 10 seconds, which is an eternity if you’re looking to score the best odds possible. This is simply inexcusable for a bookie of Rabona’s caliber.

As this is a bookie with international aspirations, we expected a lot from customer support. Despite these high expectations, we weren’t really prepared for this level of excellence. Not only do they support at astonishing eight languages, but there is also a separate department for each one. The LiveAgent-powered chat function is amazing and smooth, with email correspondence and several phone numbers being more than worthy alternatives.

When we saw how amazing the banking section is, we grew even more frustrated with the bugs we encountered while testing Rabona. The mix of payment options is an ideal balance between popular providers and niche, regionally-restricted options. Cryptocurrencies are abundant, which gives this bookie an advantage when it comes to security (more on that in a bit).

Betting odds at Rabona are competitive overall. Soccer betting margin is 5.2%, tennis betting margin is 7.5%, ice hockey betting margin is 7.6%, basketball with 5.6% and so on. The overall betting margin is 6.5%. These betting margins have been calculated using odds from different events in each sport. Please note that margins may be different from a sport to another, and even from a league to other.

Betting Features

To be frank, there’s not a whole lot that sets Rabona’s offer apart from other popular bookies. We already mentioned the excruciatingly long delays when placing bets on ongoing fixtures. Because of this, we definitely wouldn’t recommend them. Despite an overall decent amount of sports and leagues around the world, instant bet placement is sports betting 101. If a bookie doesn’t fulfill that, they aren’t worth a look.

Security and Fairness

In this particular department, Rabona fails to stand out yet again. Being licensed by the Government of Curacao isn’t the most prestigious achievement, as this Caribbean country doesn’t have strict requirements for licensees to apply. In terms of fairness, Rabona claims to be audited and approved by PECB MS, an independent data security firm. They’re not particularly renowned. THAWTE would have been a better choice.
